Ive long had an obsession with all things rose (especially for summer) and lately it seems its not just me whos besotted. The plethora of products that have recently landed on ELLEs beauty desk confirm that smelling of roses is just the thing this summer.
Darphins Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood (£53.83) smells so ambrosial youll want to dive straight in and eat it, as well as smother your face in it. A little goes a long way so you only need to massage the tiniest smudge onto dry skin to get rid of make-up and leave your skin supple and clean.
By Terrys Serenite de Rose Radiance Renewing Mask (£49) is a rich, thick cream that feels instantly soothing on the skin and also just so happens the prettiest shade of pink. My skin was softer, smoother and brighter after just one use.
Eve Loms Radiance TLC cream (£40) is my new skin must-have. Not only is it packed full of glow-giving vitamin C and rosehip seed oil, but its infused with Bulgarian rose otto so it smells divine and gives you a dewy, satiny complexion.
It seems roses add allure to the most basic of things too, as Weledas Wild Rose Deodorant (£8.50) proves. It has a fresh scent that turns the everyday into something luxurious.
Perfumer extraordinaire Roja Dove has recently turned his hand to home fragrance with a new range of candles inspired by key notes from his fragrance Scandal. Needless to say the Rose variant (£39.50 - 0207 893 8797) is my favourite. Not only does it look decadent and elegant, it envelopes the room in a soothing, rosy fug.
Finally worth a mention is a product that manages to combine my love of rose with my all-consuming obsession to find the perfect blusher MACs Blush of Youth Beauty Powder (£14.68) is the answer to my beauty dreams. The perfect shade of blossom pink, dust it over the apples of your cheeks for a soft, coquettish flush. Its almost too pretty to use. Almost.
