Beauty products do, too. On Monday, the winners of this years Cosmetic Exectuive Women (CEW) Awards aka the Beauty Oscars were announced, revealing the industry insiders picks from the plethora of products launched over the past twelve months. Im always interested to see what the industry execs, as opposed to the journos, have picked out as their favourites were not the only ones who know our stuff.
See a complete list of winners by clicking here (you can buy them there, too), but a wee preview from me first:
Ever-popular Clinique won Best New Everyday Skincare Product for its Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturizer and Best Classic Beauty Product with Airbrush Concealer, while Tri-Atkiline won the Best New Anti-Ageing Skincare Product.
In the Mass category, quirky-cool brand Soap & Glory won Best Everyday Skincare product for Glow Job as well as Best New Bath And Body product for Scrub Actually.
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, Neals Yard White Tea Enriching Face Mask, St Tropez Everyday Body and Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File also won awards.
Lovely.
Look out for our very own beauty awards in the June issue (on sale next Wednesday) we tested hundreds and hundreds of products classic and new to come up with Elles Hot 100. If youre as overwhelmed by all the very many beauty products available as I am, then its another good place to start.
In the meantime, bag yourself some top quality swag by entering this amazing competition. I persuaded CEW to put together a selection of their finalists and winners so one of you could win it and this is what they came up with:
Wowww! Altogether, the beauty bags worth over £300, and to win it all you have to do is send an email with your name and address to info@cewuk.co.uk. Put ELLECOMP in the subject box and make sure your emails sent by midnight next Thursday (30th).
Good luck!
