With their flowery press releases and champagne-fuelled parties, there’s nothing like a perfume launch to make you come over all poetic and last night’s celebration of Marc Jacob’s latest issue – a quirky update of his cult fragrance Daisy – was no exception.

After a delicious dinner at Scott’s in Mayfair (am so regretting not asking them to doggy bag the left over petit fours – I could be eating them for breakfast right now), we all got to take home our own bottle of Daisy to play with.

Play being the operative word because this spring Daisy – now sprouting grass-green petals on its cap as opposed to the original white ones – comes with a packet of colourful stickers that you can use to customise the bottle, or anything else for that matter.

When I was little, I was obsessed with stickers and had albums full of them. I think if you love getting creative, then stickers are the ultimate quick fix. Here you’ve got ladybirds, spiders, hearts, butterflies, flowers in every colour and even little, gold rats to experiment with. And like everything else from Marc Jacobs, it’s cute but cool and therefore completely irresistible.

So what next, I wonder? How about a re-usable sticker book of each new Marc Jacobs collection complete with cut-out doll to dress? In my opinion, there’s never been a better time to put handbag production on hold and concentrate on decorative adhesives instead.

Daisy Marc Jacobs Sticker Edition, £43 for 50ml, is out today.
