ELLE Running Club members, you're going to love this. It appears, if Helmut Lang, Jenny Packham, Phillip Lim and Thakoon are anything to go by, that post-gym hair is going to be huge for A/W 14.

What exactly is post-gym hair? It's that lived-in texture you get after a big workout (fashion euphemism for greasy roots). And it looks pretty damn great.

Like any trend there are different levels of wearability (you'll know this from our March issue trend report, yes?). Dip into the trend or choose to fully embrace your post Barry's Bootcamp 'do.

Here's sporty hair in variations of wearability, starting with the most accessible...

At Jeanie Syfu for Tresemme, created an effortlessly pretty, loose bun and used Tresemme Leave-In Split End Conditioning Treatment through the front of the models hairline to make the hair look 'three days old'.

'This girl has just been running around and has got a little sweaty' Odile Gilbert for Kerastase told us of the sleek hair. The key product was Kerastase Touché Perfection hair gloss to get the wet-look effect.

Next level up, at Eugene Souleiman for Wella used Wella Volume Crafter in the roots before slicking hair back with a retro, toothed headband. Remember those? Gym class in the 90's anyone?

Winner of most extreme in the category - where Paul Hanlon for Moroccanoil kept coming back to the key word 'sporty', as well as Brian Ferry and David Bowie (how very 80's cool). Paul used a hefty dose of Moroccanoil Curl Intense Cream on the roots plus heaps of hairspray to achieve a lacquer effect.
