It’s always a pleasure bumping into Doncaster lass Sam backstage in any of the cities; her approachable and kind nature means she’s always happy to stop and have a chat, even with show time looming.

We caught up with her just before the Lacoste show on a freezing New York morning to talk about some of her favourite things. We learnt that this northern beauty loves steak, Chanel and Game of Thrones - a girl after our own heart.

What’s your favourite place to eat in New York?

‘There’s this place in Tribeca called Odeon that me and my flatmate always go to when we’re over, they do really good steak.’

What are you listening to on your iPod?

‘Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys and my friends’ band called Propellers which reminds me of being at home with my mates.’

How many shows are you doing this season?

‘I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow. You can find out as late as 10pm the night before if you have a call time in the morning. Sometimes I’ll want to go to bed early and still don’t know.’

What’s your favourite fashion week moment?

‘Opening Chanel was pretty mega.’

What are your top three beauty products when you’re travelling?

‘Just the stuff I always use really. I’ve recently discovered Eve Lom lip balm; I love how tingly it is. Then face moisturiser and L’Occitane hand cream. I hate dry hands, it stresses me out.’

What have you read recently that you really loved?

‘Game of Thrones. Everyone should read it because it’s awesome!’
