It was the day that perfect skin reigned supreme; dewy, contoured-to-perfection and subtly highlighted complexions look centre stage at Prabul Gurung, Alexander Wang and Monique Lhullier.

Hair ranged from super straight at Prabul to textured and elegant at Monique, whilst the look created at Wang took an abstract approach. See the low-down...

Prabul Gurung:

The collection was inspired by the beauty of Nepal and Nepalese culture. Diane Kendall for Mac created natural make-up with flushed cheeks 'just like when you've been out in the cold' she told us.

Over on hair Paul Hanlon for Chi gave the models super straight hair to mimic 'sheets of material'.

Jin Soon for Sally Hansen used an elegant grey-nude shade called Himalaya and elongated the nails with one thin red stripe.

Monique Lhuillier:

The brilliant Val Garland for MAC wanted the girls to look like 'posh totties' with a nude palette of caramels and earthy shades.

Bob Recine added toughness with a textured chignon. Looks hard but it was surprisingly easy to do.

Alexander Wang:

No the inspiration wasn't Miley C, Diane Kendall for Nars bleached the models eyebrows and kept make-up to a minimal for an androgynous look.

Over on hair backstage guru Guido wanted the girls to look like 'futuristic soldiers in an illustration'.
