I am bored, bored, bored with this cold grey weather - it's not icy enough to snow (which brings with it a little childlike joy) and it's doesn't feel like we're any nearer to spring, despite the calender slowly chugging through the days on my iPhone. This morning, thanks to my laptop getting stuck in my colleague's locker (long story), I decided to use the spare time to try out Ciate's forthcoming Flower Manicure Kits.

In each kit you get a nail polish in either Ferris Wheel (a blue sky hue) or Candy Floss (a pretty pink), tweezers, a nail file, top coat and two little pots of brightly-hued dried REAL flowers.

You simply paint your nails and while the polish is wet use the tweezers to place the flowers onto the nails and gently patting down, before sealing with top coat.

It's fiddly yes, and as a first attempt there are some edges lifting away from the nail but by spring I'll be a pro nail florist. Ah yes, spring...
