Former ELLE cover star Suki Waterhouse is the new face of Burberry Brit’s very first in-house women’s fragrance.

Following the release of Brit Rhythm for men in September 2013, we’ve been keeping our fingers crossed that the British heritage brand would release a women’s scent. (Not that we haven’t been wearing the men’s, mind – just so we have two on our dressing table to mix and match.)

Much like the men’s version, Brit Rhythm for Her has been strongly influenced by music and style. Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer, comments: ‘Irreverent and free-spirited, the Brit Rhythm woman combines powerful femininity with a rock and roll edge.' And we can think of no one better suited than our January cover girl.

The scent itself is light, refreshing and floral, thanks to the combination of English lavender with rosy pink peppercorn and creamy musk. Sexy yet unassuming, it’s set to be a new classic.

– not being a brand to do anything by half measures – is also launching a capsule fashion collection to represent the 'attitude of the fragrance' and the Suki campaign. Yes, you guessed it; the rock and roll theme features lots of tough leather and studded jackets.

Burberry Brit Rhythm for Her, £69, is available to buy from Tuesday, 28 January 2014.
