Well this is a divisive make-up look if ever there was one. I was sat next to my colleague Debbie, went into the beauty cupboard applied the liner (which was easier than it looked) then sat back down. When she looked up from her laptop she actually jumped. A short walk over to Sophie's desk and she wheeled her desk chair away from me.

Miette loved it and Gillian thought it would work well... for evening.

So how did I do it? I used Smashbox Always Sharp 3D Liner in 3D Sparks (a sort khaki colour shot through with gold - softer than black). I drew along the upper lashline, next I drew a short flick up towards the outer edge of my brow. Then I took the line in drawing above the socket line. A little shading inside the corners of the flick added depth. The hardest part was matching the eyes so it looked even. The great thing about this look is there are no rules - play about with different linear looks until you find something you like.

Anyway, so at lunch I popped to Itsu and didn't get any sideways glances, in fact the office interest in the liner soon died down. It wasn't until I looked in the bathroom mirror and actually shocked myself I realised it was time to remove the liner. Definitely for evening, a dark nightclub perhaps...
