I'm feeling futuristic today in my gold ASOS t-shirt, so it felt quite fitting to trial . Pat McGrath gave models a new take on liquid liner backstage. The molten metal hue was swept along the lower lashline, as well as the top where it ended in a perky flick. A sweep of silver across the socket line kept it looking modern and fresh.

Wearable, though? I wasn't so sure, would a futuristic liner look really work on me, today?

To get the look I used Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in silver. The pencil didn't give quite the bold effect I spied on the catwalk, possibly a good thing when tackling such a different look.

It was easy to do, I swept the pencil under my lower lashes, before drawing along the upper lashline. I used the point where my brows stop as a guide for the angle of the liner flick. I could have stopped there, but I stayed true to Pat's vision and drew onto my socket line as well.

A quick wander around the office helped to garner some opinions. Claire, on our subs desk, said it made my eyes look 'brighter and more shiny'. Our editor-in-chief's PA Gillian thought it would be a 'great look for drinks' but that the floating line was a bit 'too fashion for the daytime' adding that it was 'one of my preferred Trial A Trends'.

I might not reach for the make-up remover just yet, in that case...
