I love MAC. I love Rihanna. Thus far I have loved their seasonal collaborations and I'm excited to try this latest RiRi ? MAC. It is her final swan song (only with MAC, don't panic), and on paper she's going out with a bang. I'm drawn to the bling element of the collection, the glitter accents, a deep contouring bronzer and a mocha brown lipstick that I love in bullet form, so I'm trying it in real life.

I need to pile the glitter on to get a good payoff, but that is because I am pale. on Rihanna the rose gold and caramel shimmers would work a treat. I layer all 5 colours in the palette in varying degrees of detail around my lashes and socket. I love the accidental hit of golden glitter pigment on the ends of my lashes, so I go with it. The fun part is layering on a translucent glimmer liquid liner. A wet look clear liner effect, but ever so subtle. It gives me a look of delicately smearing water across my lashline. I love this.

The lipstick is browner than I'm used to, but I like it. Very grown up, with a little edge that balances it back out into youth-boosting, (it's on trend, being a slightly 'off' shade).

All in all I preferred the shockingly deep plum lip shade from the last collection - its more stand out and more RiRi - but this is a great, more wearable goodbye collection, and one I have stolen from the #ELLEbeautycupboard, so team ELLE will have to make do with reading about it here instead...

RiRi ? MAC Holiday launches exclusively in Selfridges December 5 before going nationwide on the 12th.
