The David Koma Eye:

Yes I look sad in this picture, and it isn't because I don't LOVE this LFW eye makeup (I seriously love it). It's because I'm off to a 'grown ups' birthday lunch, and I'm not sure this is entirely appropriate.

The graphic block eye that Maybelline created for the David Koma London Fashion Week show was a stand out for me. I love eye liner. I love navy blue. I love parallelograms even (which this essentially is), so I thought why not try it out on me? Just my timing isn't quite right.

Or is it? The husband didn't bat an eyelid so I thought I could get away with it among some serious adults. Turns out I was right. Although this feels tricky to apply (NOTE: You will make good use of eyemakeup remover wipes and a precise nail edge), it wears beautifully. Not as weird as it feels - flattering since it does the job of elongating the eye and emphasising lash shape excellently, and really quite cool.

I'm a convert. One for my IRL (In Real Life) repertoire for sure.
