Diane Kendall has to be the hardest working make-up artist in NY right now. I saw her bright and early this morning at where she was creating a modern take on the classic Twiggy look for Karlie Kloss.

To make it modern the eyes are false lash loaded but just slightly more subtle than the original look. Kendall lined the upper lash line with liquid liner, applied mascara, added a strip of false lashes with black glue and loaded on more mascara. On the lower lash line just a strip of lashes was applied using clear glue for a subtle take.
A cream blush was padded onto cheeks with fingers then a brighter powder blush in the same tone layered on with a brush to pop the cheeks. A good technique for long-lasting blush.

The lips are a combo of colours from the new Forecast palettes that I NEED now - cool tone pinks April Flowers and Fashion Tip.

The hair was pulled into a chignon that resembled a shell (the inspiration gave Orlando Pita).
I spied a new hairspray backstage being used that peaked the attention of my inner health nut -Spirulina Hairspray by Byron.
