Choupette Lagerfeld, Karl's very glamorous cat, has finally unveiled her first cosmetics collection for Shu Uemura to WWD, which has been dubbed "Glamourpuss Luxury". The collection includes a lip and eye palette, and what appears to be a faux fur make-up bag that has 'clutch' written all over it (we predict it to sell out first).

We await more news on the 'pawsome' collection (sorry, not sorry) and we will let you know more as soon as we do.

Shu Uemura is getting into the holiday spirit (that’s Christmas, FYI). They have just announced the face of its holiday collection will be none other than Karl Lagerfield’s pet cat Choupette.

The pretty kitty – a snow-white Siamese – will front the collection under the name Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura. She’s a big deal on Twitter with 38k followers (@ChoupettesDiary), describing herself on the account as, ‘a famous beauty who refuses to eat on the floor and my maids pamper my every need. I am Choupette Lagerfeld and I am a spoiled pussy’.

Beauty afficianados will recall that this isn’t the first time a pet has fronted a beauty campaign. Nars called on his pooch, Marcel – a French bulldog to be the face of his Pro Prime range back in 2010.

Lagerfeld worked with Shu Uemura back in 2012 when he created a 17-piece holiday collection with a cartoon spokesmodel called Mon Shu. This time around the Shupette range is rumoured to include furry false eyelashes, while the campaign images have been shot by her esteemed owner.

Choupette was a Christmas gift for Lagerfeld in 2011 from model Baptiste Giabiconi. He said of the feline, back in 2012, ‘I thought she was too cute. She is like a kept woman. She has a strong personality. She has lunch and dinner with me on the table, with her own food… she even knows how to use an iPad’.
