ELLE’s cover star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is launching her first ever fragrance with Marks & Spencer. The supermodel already designs lingerie for the British high street retailer and her debut scent will be called Rosie for Autograph.

A floral, oriental perfume, unsurprisingly it is based on her namesake flower; an Eau de Parfum Rosie wanted it to bring to life her love of the British countryside on a summer morning.

Of the scent, Rosie said, 'as with my lingerie collection, I was drawn to the elegance and simplicity of the centifolia rose used in the fragrance. A rare, vintage style flower, it really encapsulates what this fragrance is about to me – a fresh yet mysterious scent, which feels luxurious and sexy when worn.'

Rosie worked closely with perfumer Ralf Schwieger (he created Hermes Eau des Marveilles and Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll) to bring her olfactory vision to life, a journey that took the pair to New York, London and then a rose harvest in the fragrance capital of the world Grasse. The pair spent months concocting the perfect blend of ingredients including pepper, lemon, rose, jasmine, musk and sandalwood.

Of the process, Rosie said, 'I get a kick out of making a product that's beautifully appealing, affordable and relatable. I get much more enthusiastic about appealing to real women than to "the circle", shall we say?'

Rosie for Autograph Eau de Parfum, from £14 for 30ml, launches 29 January. The line also includes a candle, £15 and room diffuser, £18. Click here to visit the Marks & Spencer website...
