The act of shaving is just so... unsexy. But it has to be done, because hairy legs are well, unsexier.
Shaving is also so terribly boring, it leaves my skin red raw and is just so boring (did I already say that?).

But reality-star-turned-author-and-presenter Whitney Port has just signed up as the face of Gillette's new Venus & Olay Razor, £10.99. That signing is interesting, yes. But it's the other addition that peaked my interest. Venus has hooked up with Olay, you see. Yes Olay of the skin moisturising products. An Olay 'Moisture Boost' shave gel bar surrounds the blades so there is no need for shaving foam or the use of moisturiser afterwards, unless you have very dry skin.

Port said of her new role, 'I am honoured to be working with such an iconic beauty brand, renowned for celebrating the Goddess in every woman'. The lack of red raw skin definitely makes me feel more Goddess. Now, Venus just needs to work on the boredom factor... Maybe the next generation razor could have an inbuilt radio or be designed to look like a lawn mower? It's the small things...
