Last night before heading to Beyonce at the O2 I spritzed a little Le Labo Santal 33, £138 (at Liberty).

Its a leathery scent, mingling musk, sandalwood and a kick of cardamon to evoke visions of camp fires in the American West, a sort of Western movie in a bottle. That's the reason, I think men are quite drawn to it. I only say that because a few weeks ago I was in a taxi and the cabbie asked me if I was wearing Escentric Molecule No1, £65.50 (at Cult Beauty
), a fragrance that smells amazing and different on everyone. A specific question, since that's a very cult scent.
Yesterday I was in another taxi and the driver asked what I was wearing? He said he could normally pick out a fragrance since he is close proximity to people a lot. Its definitely a conversation starter
