So we all know it was Earth day this week, right? There was enough instagrams and tweets from Earth-supporting celebrities that it was impossible to miss. Plus, for all of you who go giddy at the sight of a gel pen, it also happens to be National Stationary Week!! Exciting stuff.

Actually, it is. Beauty-products-resembling-stationary is big news at the moment. One of our favourite recent launches are the Satin Lip Pencils from NARS that make putting long-wear lipstick on as easy as lip gloss. As you will have seen from the #ElleBeautyCupboard on ELLEUK instagram- we had far too much fun playing around with the new nail art Artstix from ModelsOWN.

What else in on a desk? Ah yes, blotting paper. We love the Bobbi Brown Blotting Papers, that you can refill- just like you’re at the printer. Who doesn’t love that?

More pencils you say? Okay then. Calvin Klein have created an easy to apply eye shadow in the form of a pencil that glides on the lids- CK One Gloss Eyecolor. And if you want to be really on trend, try Urban Decay’s bright blue Eye Pencil in Chaos.

Plus a stapler. Just because.

Back to Earth Day. What would the world be without Kiehls Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque? Full of unsightly pores, that’s what. Don’t forget that the sun can harm you, even though it is part of this sacred Earth- so keep protected with Lancaster’s Dry Touch gel in SPF20. Perfect for when you’re out on a run. However, before you blind us all with your ‘wintered’ skin- pop on some of KIKO’s Self tanning Spray- so you can be the colour of the earth (we said it was tenuous links).

Blue and green, the two colours we would use as children when we drew a landscape of the Earth. CK One have created Riptide and Current in the brightest primary colours for your enjoyment.

What’s missing? Ah yes- a lipstick. Shiseido’s Perfect Rouge is the way to show your support for the Earth, because- um- it’s Earth-y coloured?
