Platinum hair is having a moment.

We've seen it everywhere, from Taylor Swift and Kristen Stewart's icy manes on the red carpet, to mega-cool models like Soo Joo Park and Sasha Luss showcasing their white-blonde locks on the catwalk.

Yep, it seems bleach blonde is THE shade for Summer.

Celebrity Hair Stylist (and our FAVE colourist to stalk on instagram), Samantha Cusick, says 'Anyone can suit being a platinum blonde. I tailor the colour to suit every client by putting a toner on it, whether it's milky, creamy, silver, grey… Being a blonde is a right of passage you have to do it at some point in your life, its just about picking the right tone for you.'

The trend is making pretty major waves on instagram and pinterest too.

We've seen everyone trying platinum locks, regardless of skin tone or natural hair colour and guess what? It flatters ALL.

PS. It also looks HAWT on guys too... <3

So how do you maintain your icy white locks and keep them looking bright?

The secret, is to invest in a toning shampoo. Most are tinted purple, to help counteract any brassy yellow hues in your hair and leave lengths ashy again. Here are a few of our faves...

Best for on a budget: Bleach London Silver Shampoo, £5

Best for nourishing dry lengths: Davines Alchemic Silver Conditioner, £19

Best for fastest results: Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo, £9.95
