See what happens when red carpet gowns meet everyday beauty staples

Revlon have announced their exciting collaboration with renowned fashion house Marchesa to launch a range of beauty products later this year. Three separate collections will include nail polishes, nail art, beauty tools and a range of lip and eye products.

This union doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, Revlon’s Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman is Marchesa’s go-to make-up artist for their Bridal Range, AW13 show and is booked in for September SS14.

We’re expecting a mix of the iconic intricate designs that Marchesa is known for and the fun, colourful products that we can always count on Revlon for, with plenty of shimmer and bold colours thrown in for good measure.

Marchesa’s move into cosmetics is a great way to make the deluxe brand, loved by A-listers Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway and Emma Watson, more accessible for everyday women and sure to be a sell-out.

Marchesa’s co-founder, Keren Craig, commented on the collaboration; ‘while we can’t reveal all the details of our multi-collection partnership with Revlon just yet, each collection will truly embody our brand’s feminine and dramatic spirit’.

Launching in the US this October the first collection will feature eight nail wraps called Revlon by Marches 3D Jewel Appliques. With two more exciting ranges to follow.

We’ve got our fingers firmly crossed that their venture over to our side of the pond quickly follows.
