It's that time again - London Fashion Week. While we love spying new looks, products and trends, the back-to-back shows scattered across London and the cramped, hectic backstage areas leave us world-weary by the end of it.

We need plenty of lipstick, a bag stashed full of Rescue Remedy and plenty of face spritz to keep us going. Here's what will be in our handbags this weekend...

From top left: Perricone MD Super Berry with Acai, £49 (for 30 sachets): the antioxidants help to ward off fashion flu.

Rescue Liquid Melts, £6.99 at Boots: these flower essences keep me calm. As does this Elemis Quiet Mind Temple Balm, £16.

Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer, £34 at House of Fraser, is pearlescent and goes on under foundation to help fake that 8-hours of sleep look. While red Shu Uemura lipstick in RD170, £19, helps me look more awake (I stole that tip from Alexa Chung).

My favourite Acqua Di Parma scent Gelsomino Nobile in this amazing green leather purse spray, £79 at Selfridges so I can tote it around.

Cotton buds for any make-up mishaps.

Andrea Fulerton Cute-Icles Love Oil, £3.99 at Superdrug, because I have horrible cuticles and I'm in touching distance of nail gods like Marian Newman, Sophy Robson, Jenny Longworth and Katie Hughes.

This Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick, £60, doubles as foundation and concealer in one - love a multi-tasker.

And, because when I'm stressed I get spots, when I'm happy I get spots, when I'm sad I get spots, this Eve Lom Dynaspot, £22 with tea tree oil is coming with me too.

My Must-Haves

Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, £20.50

There’s no way I would combat the backstage crowds without my trusted compact to hand. Without it I’d slowly melt away as the day went on and resemble Batman’s The Joker by lunchtime. Plus it’s quick and easy with a mini sponge to top up my make-up on the go.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, £16.50

It’s like a heat wave backstage with hair dryers coming at you from every angle. This season I’ll have this handy-sized face spritz for a quick cool down. I love the smell too.

Toni & Guy Cleanse Dry Shampoo, £7.19

Well this is an obvious. 7.30am call times means leisurely grooming your hair each morning isn’t an option. A quick top-up during the day and you’re ready to go.

Emergen-C Vitamin C Sachet, £0.56

Basically travel-sized Beroccas – great for keeping my energy up when (literally) running to and from shows.

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 504, £25

This matte gloss lasts me from breakfast to afternoon caffeine break, and the vibrant pop of colour perks up my complexion.
