First things first, creating a single make-up look for a major catwalk show is one thing, creating four is pushing the boundaries of what's possible (and sane).

But Revlon Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman is obviously not one to shy away from a challenge because, sure enough, at the Autumn/Winter 2013 show at New York Fashion Week, she did just that.

And brilliantly, may I add. Because these faces weren't just slightly different, oh no, we're talking four looks all poles apart.

'Each of the four looks represents a different type of girl: gypsy, sophisticate, urban chic and East Asian jet setter. The one common thread is purity. I created a look that highlights the innate beauty of the face from the eyes to the lip to clear, shiny skin'.

Look one (pictured top left) is the Sophisticate. Despite the nude tones it is a pretty strong-looking lip. Gucci used a mix of Revlon ColorStay Lipliner in Nude, £6.29 and Ultimate Suede in Front Row, £7.99 (available April).

The second model is wearing the Gypsy look (top right). The eyes and lips are strong - a mix of Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour EyeShadow Quad in Seductive, £7.99 and Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry, £7.49. The just-bitten look to the lips takes it from sophisticated to raw and edgy, and those eyes would make for a perfect party look (whether you wear the two together, well it's up to you).

My favourite is the Urban Chic (bottom left) - just look at that fresh, bright lip - yowzas. All thanks to Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in It Girl, £8.99 (also out April). Date in the diaries, stat.

Last is the East Asian Jetsetter - a classic black liner and red lip.

Now where's the kettle? Surely Gucci will need a cuppa and a good rest after that little lot...
