A few weeks ago, Anne Hathaway shocked us when she arrived at the Met Ball in New York sporting a punky platinum blonde shade. But it wasn't to last; the 30-year-old actress took to the streets of New York yesterday with yet another drastic hair change after a trip to the Marie Robinson salon this time, trading in the platinum for a rich chocolate shade, much closer to her natural hue.
It's been a whirlwind year for Hathaway sweeping up awards at the Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes and changing her hair so many times we can hardly keep up.
For years we knew her for her classic and safe shoulder-length brunette hair. Then in December 2012, in true dedication to her art as an actress she went for a drastic chop and cut it in to a pixie crop to play the role of Fantine in the Oscar-winning musical drama Les Misérables.
Did she like her new style?
I look like my gay brother, Man Hathaway, and I cried like a mental patient at first, are two of the more memorable quotes Hathaway gave to US press. It would seem not so much.
Then came the blonde. Now, this a hair swap rumoured to be for her upcoming role in musical drama Song One.
It seems Hathaway is willing to go to any length, shade or style for her roles. Were looking forward to seeing what else is in store for the colour chameleon...
