I'm just back from a whistle-stop trip to Paris, which apart from seeing a great new launch from Roger & Gallet (more on that in ELLE later this year) gave me the chance to peruse the nearest pharmacy. French pharmacies are treasure-troves, full-to-bursting with efficacious, affordable skincare buys.

I snapped up Bioderma micellar water, loved by make-up artists like our very own ELLE Beauty Guru Lisa Eldridge, thanks to its ability to remove all traces of dirt and make-up gently. But I avoided the usual pink version that everyone falls over themselves to buy and instead snapped up the Sebium version especially formulated for combination or oily skin (a much better fit for me and my immature 'teenage' skin - I'm not bitter, honest). I'm already hooked on the blue elixir and thankfully I won't have to wait for another trip to Paris because (drumroll please...) Bioderma is coming to the UK!

A date hasn't been set but Bioderma will be available to buy in pharmacies nationwide in the next few months. And what's more it's not just the micellar waters packing their bags and heading over the channel, five full lines are taking the trip. Atoderm for dry skin; Sensibio for sensitive skin; Sebium for oily and acne prone skin; a full high protection PHOTODERM suncare line and a line specifically for dehydrated skin: Hydrabio.

Think cleansing gels, pore refiners, moisturisers and more.

You'll see from the picture I also picked up a tube of Homeplasmine which is favourite with our Beauty Director Sophie. It's a balm for super dry skin that doesn't have any scent (unlike another cult balm...) and is a whole lot cheaper than other versions out there; you can use it on lips, cuticles, dry patches etc.

Here's hoping Bioderma likes its move to ol' Blighty and inspires other brands to take that trip...
