...And to celebrate the amazing work they've done to help women battle the appearance-altering effects of cancer treatment, are launching a brand new advertising campaign. Aside from the stirking images shot by Josh Van Gelder, the ethos behind the campaign is the thing to note. The whole #WarPaint4Life production was created outside of work hours, free of charge, and will run in donated advertising space, so there can only be benefits to the charity.

Our own Beauty Director Sophie worked closely with LGFB when she went through her own cancer treatment, having a unique stance to see first hand the huge help the charity provides. She attended a makeup workshop, met fellow patents and worked with the charity to spread their important work.

Namely, that 'Self-esteem is important and relevant to all women, it just happens to be in sharper focus for those who have cancer. To feel confident, in control and empowered in life is every woman’s right and Look Good Feel Better exists to make sure that cancer doesn’t take that away.'

Happy Birthday LGFB, from all of us here at ELLE.

The Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) Programme runs free skincare and make-up workshops in over 75 hospitals and cancer support centres nationwide. Workshops and Masterclasses are hosted by volunteer beauty consultants and women leave the two hour sessions smiling, uplifted, with new skills and a fresh feeling of confidence.
