Miley Cyrus rocked it at the ELLE cover shoot at Milk Studios in Hollywood. Make-up artist Melanie Inglessis said the look was ‘rock and roll, to bring Miley’s personality out’.

Inglessis used St Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Firming 4 in 1 Lotion, £20, with Skin Illuminator, £12.26, to give Miley’s skin a natural glow and subtle shimmer.
A little Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, £34.50, perfected her complexion and Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel, £31, warmed up her skintone. Pencils were used to create a smudgy smokey eye – YS: Dessin Du Regard Waterproof Long-WearEye Pencil in Black Ink, £19, and Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil in Kenya, £18, – an easy eye to try at home. Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara, £21, finished the look.

Hairstylist Jenny Cho describes Cyrus as ‘young and fearless’ so she wanted to create a hairstyle that was both ‘playful and fun’.

Cho used Suave Professionals Volumizing Root Boost Spray layered with the brand’s Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream to get texture and movement into the star’s short hair. Suave Professionals isn’t available in the UK, so Cho gave us product recommendations that will get that rock star texture into hair and are easy to get our hands on - add Oribe Rough Luxury Soft Molding Paste, £33, or Kevin Murphy Easy.Rider, £17.95, to your shopping list.
