All this month when you subscribe to ELLE you can get free Smashbox products, worth £35. Last week our Beauty Assistant Joely Walker used the Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Auto Expose to create a soft smoky eye with the help of Smashbox's Pro Lead Artist Lori Taylor.
This week, I used the same eye product to create a completely different look.
To get the look I blended a little of the dark plum shade with the grey using a liner brush. I then worked the shadow into my lash line top and bottom, the look felt less 'done' than if I had used a liquid liner to create the same look. I used the eyeshadow dry, but Lori says, 'We usually don't suggest using any of the shadows wet but as an artist I am always pushing the envelope and love to wet the corner and apply it not only as a liner but love to use it damp all over the lid for saturated colour. I then apply another layer dry, this not only helps to set the shadow but helps to blend as well.'
