This month when you subscribe to ELLE you'll get a free Smashbox make-up set worth £35. Included in the set is the Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Auto Expose. Over the next three weeks each beauty team member is going to show you a different way to use the trio - it's a super versatile product.
Today, Beauty Assistant Joely Walker has created a smoky eye as advised by Smashbox's Pro Lead Artist Lori Taylor.
Lori says, 'Smoky eyes is the number one look for the ladies on the west coast [of America, where the brand originates from]. As you may know smoky is a technique not a colour so I always suggest using a trio of colour that's not typically black or brown. Pushing the envelope with non-neutral shades is the best way to modernise the smoky eye'.
To get the look Joely is wearing...
Apply lightest shade from lash to brow.
Next, using the middle tone shade (wine) blend it from lash to natural crease.
Last, use a combo of the deepest (grey) and middle (wine) and blend across the upper and lower lash line.
And there you have it...
Check back next Tuesday for another eye look...
