Honestly, we don’t know how she does it. After four weeks of non-stop, solid fashion shows, Karlie Kloss was still looking fresh-faced and perky-eyed for a 7am call time at Stella McCartney this morning.

And while she gave concealer all the credit for those shadow-free eyes, it seems that the model’s perfect mix of fun, French pharmacies and a few local delicacies are the secret to maintaining her skin and sense of humour a month into fashion’s gruelling seasonal circus.

Staying at a “fabulous old French apartment in the 16th arondissement” with her sister, she’s been bike riding in the park and beating a path to her ultimate city hotspots. “In my book, a shopping trip to Colette and a stop-off at Angelina’s for hot chocolate is more important than visiting the Eiffel Tower,” she said as a make up artist perfected the show’s green eyeliner look on those fresh-as-a-daisy peepers.

That and taking a trip to see the Impressionist art at her favourite Paris museum, the Musée d’Orsay. “It’s totally lame but I get one of the tour guide headsets every time!”.

As for the model diet behind that maddeningly perfect complexion, she finds classic steak tartare “a little freaky” for her taste – but love, love, loves the fact that you can get a great omelette morning, noon and night in Paris restaurants everywhere.

Some good old egg-based protein and a trolley dash around Saint Germain’s discount pharmacy, (apparently we have to try Viviscale supplements for strong nails and glossy hair) is her secret to packing in the parties – but keeping it a secret from the catwalk cameras.

And while she’s been burning the candle at both ends of late, the party she’s really holding out for is the MAC celebration for Carine Roitfeld tomorrow.

Her only conundrum? She doesn’t know what to wear. Thank God – she’s human after all.
