The annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is upon us once again which means a whole load of next level lingerie, legs longer than our monthly ASOS bill (and that's long) and more beauty inspo than you can shake a feathered angel wing at.

With their most diverse model lineup ever (it's never too late for progress people!) featuring 55 women from over 20 countries, the backstage hair and make-up team have got their work cut out.

This year's VS look of choice? It's all about upping the smoulder and embracing each model's unique look. Aka the best smokey eye you'll ever see meets natural hair textures and lip colours customised to suit individual models. Nice.

'We have 55 girls with different skin tones and different complexions so we want to make the best of it. We don't want the Victoria's Secret girls to look identical. They have been specifically chosen because of their unique beauty so we want to keep that. We don't want soldiers,' said lead make-up artist Tom Pecheux.

So how can we recreate the looks? Let's get down to it...

The Hair

Yes, the usual Victoria's Secret bombshell waves are back but this time they're messier, more undone and just a little bit badass. 'She's been to a party, and she met a boy,' lead hairstylist Anthony Nader told PopSugar, 'This is her day-after hair that's a lot more relaxed.'

The deal? If you've got naturally textured or curly hair, you get to keep it, ''If girls have got great curly hair, we're not blowing them out,' Nadar said. 'We are just enhancing what they've already got and making it a better version.'

Otherwise, it's the full on VS extensions, blowdry and tongs transformation.

Spritzing L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni.Art Pli Styling Spray before blowdrying to prep hair, stylists then used a 1 inch ghd Curve Classic Curl Iron to curl random sections of hair in alternating directions for a 'more natural and realistic' finish to the classic Angel waves.

The Make-Up

You're not a VS model if you don't have envy-inducing suede-like skin and a flush that says, 'I just ran 5K but check out how healthy I look'. But this year's day-after-the-night-before look has got a bit more grit to it than usual. 'The girl will not only be pretty and beautiful but [growls] . . . naught[y]', lead make-up artist Tom Pecheux told PopSugar.

Yup, we're talking the best (not basic) smokey eye ever. Think shimmery neutral eyeshadow on model's lids with a taupe shadow in the crease of the eye, smudged eyeliner on the top lash line and brown eyeshadow lining the bottom lashes.

Add highlighter in the corner of your eyes to nail that bright and healthy vibe, and no less than two coats of mascara for seriously long eyelashes, and you've got Alessandra Ambrosio's eye make-up down.

And on the lips? Nude, of course. Pecheux used his finger to dab the Victoria's Secret Velvet Matte Lipstick in Adored onto lips before topping with another shade depending on the model's natural lip colour.

'Some girls have a very bright natural pink lip colour so that is going to tone it down a bit, some girls have pale lips, and we will still use it as a base. Two or three girls will have it on their own. But most girls will have it mixed with another one of the shades', said Pecheux.
