The pumped-up, high energy strains of Salt-n-Pepa's Push It may have inspired the all-out eighties extravaganza at Mark Fast, but the team behind the look were feeling a little weary after spending the night knee-dip in fuzzed up wigs and nail tips.

Channelling a vibe he called "Parisian hip hop chic", Nick Irwin lovingly pent the eve of the show with 17 party shop hair pieces. Layering Tigi Session Series Dry Shampoo onto each one, he backcombed the entirety into a dense ball of fuzz. Hand clippers to the ready, he then pruned them into a "lampshade shape", finished them off with Your Highness Firm Hold Hair Spray - and fell into bed at 3am.

But that was nothing compared to the hardest working man in nails. Prepping 170 acrylic nails in Maybelline's Turquoise Lagoon, Lilac Charm or Divine Wine lacquer shades, David Barton spent eye-watering hours cutting silver and pink Minx nail wraps into lipstick bullet-like shapes to cap of the eighties show talons. Factor in glueing, drying and staring-bog-eyed-int-space time and he finally made it to bed at 8am this morning. Now that's what we call dedication to the nail cause.
