Across a crowded room of models, make up artists and stylists backstage at Berardi, our magpie-like eyes alighted upon an unseen nail innovation that sent our talon-obsessed hearts racing.

Cosying up to nail art hipster, Jenny Longworth over coffee and a croissant, we got a sneaky peak inside her "guard with your life product bag".

Peering into this little pouch of wonderousness, we discovered Revlon's top secret Nail Art Duo Pens. So new that some shades have yet to be dressed in their official packaging, they come in double-ended wands and three main themes.

With a white base at one end and a fluoro bright at the other, the Nail Art Neons give the non-professionals among us the chance to achieve a magazine shoot-worthy pop of true, day-glow colour from the comfort of our own sofas.

Meanwhile, the Moon Candy collection gives tips a new dimension with colour at one end and iridescent or gold leaf-speckled topcoats at the other.
Over in the Expressionist range, the genius twin-tip accessorizers come with a must-do shade and a super-skinny brush to add polka dots, stripes or whatever design takes your fancy.

If only we hadn't been caught red handed trying to pilfer that product bag.
