The last thing I have to worry about during London Fashion Week is chipped nails. But when I'm backstage taking notes it's one part of me that is really on show, right under the noses of celebrity manicurists and high-profile make-up artists. Even with the crackle-glaze-esque top coats now popular, everyone can tell real chips from those artistically painted on.

I started by prepping my nails by filing and buffing them. Next working on one hand, before moving onto the next I applied the base coat and set under the LED light, followed by my chosen coral-red hue, which again I set under the lamp before sealing with a high-shine top coat.
