Just when we thought 'dos were well and truly over and done with, Eugene Soulieman busts out a darkly romantic, fold-up style at that had us itching to try it ourselves from the comfort of our own hotel rooms. Prepping hair with Karlie Kloss's hero product, Wella Perfect Setting blow dry lotion, he then finger combed Ocean Spritz upwards through the roots to give a vertical lift.

Drawing the hair back into a pony at the crown, he split it in two, tied it like a shoelace and folded the ends over themselves like a master of origami. A sprinkle of hairspray caught up in the stream of a hairdryer freed some whimsical whisps before the ultimate crowning glory: A black perspex hairband courtesy of 'head' style maestro, Stephen Jones.

Completing this beauty dream team was Charlotte Tilbury, whose pale flawless skin provided the blank canvas to a neon pink eye. Swiping MAC's Magenta Eye Pencil in a straight, graphic line around the eye, she squared off the outer corner and pumped up lashes with a slick of the pink Chromacake in a shade inspired by a romantic sunset.

At long last, we see full-on colour appearing on the NYFW horizon.
