Beauty at the BAFTA Tea Party 2013

Easy hair and make-up were the order of the day

Award season lasts a good couple of months so it seems when it comes to beauty the stars are easing themselves in gently. The People's Choice Awards last week was a case in point, and the annual BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles yesterday, a chance for last year's winners and this year's nominees to socialise, was much the same. But it doesn't mean the looks were dull, far from it! Without the pressure of Oscar night or the BAFTAs the stars tend to experiment more.

Amanda Seyfried chose to wear her hair in a super side part, a big spring/summer 2013 hair trend and a look the stars have already been embracing. Jennifer Lawrence, the actress tipped for an Oscar and BAFTA, took things easy with a dishevilled ponytail - we like to think she took inspiration our Lazy Hair gallery. Sienna Miller, who looked pretty in a pink Valentino, embraced beachy waves on the red carpet - a hairstyle you can achieve while you sleep.

The make-up was more experimental with Marion Cotillard embracing this winter's sunset shades eye trend - the copper-orange eyeshadow really worked as she kept the rest of her make-up simple. While Skyfall actress Berenice Marlohe went for a matte, red lipstick - a major favourite with the ELLE Beauty Team.
