Last month we announced to you on Twitter that we were popping by Jemma Kidd’s studio to film her creating her favourite looks using the eyeliners we are gifting you with the September issue of ELLE. All you Jemma Kidd fans sent us your questions for the make-up artist and we asked her to answer them for you in between takes.

@LeilaZadz: What is the best type of bronzer for olive skin? Should I look for a particular shade and finish?

JK: I prefer to use matt bronzers on olive toned skin. They are perfect for subtly sculpting the face and building up colour gradually.

@mills_milly: What is the one beauty product you can never be without?

JK: I love my Jemma Kidd Make Up School Mineral Skin Nourishing Tint SPF 20. I always have one in my handbag.

@nicolecampanro: What is the most important item in your kit bag?

JK: I always have SteamCream to hand for a quick moisture fix. I use it on everyone, it’s very nourishing and affordable.

@FranescaVivace: I love your Light As Air Foundation, do you know when it will be back in stock?

JK: It should be back in stock in November. It sells out as soon as we produce it!

@LeanneWoodfull: What is your top beauty tip for flawless makeup for someone who is not very skilled at application?

JK: I always say to keep it simple. If you concentrate on one thing make it either and eyeliner or just really blend out your eye shadow.

@JessicaBurchett: What eye shadow shades do you recommend for hazel eyes?

JK: You’re lucky to have hazel eyes as they suit most colours. I like working with neutrals and nudes on hazel eyes in particular taupes and browns are gorgeous.

@TanyaBurr: I am a massive fan of your Light as Air Foundation. Do you have any plans to introduce more shades?

JK: Not at the moment but watch this space!

@Suzanne_ELLE: I wear glasses and they always rub off my foundation on the sides of my nose where the frames rest. Do you have any tips to stop this from happening?

JK: Try using a primer under your foundation and then setting it with a light translucent powder. That should keep your foundation in place.

@tinycattin: I've heard that you use Dove soap to cleanse your skin. Is that right?

JK: I love Dove for cleansing my skin. If I have been out and have more make-up on than usual I would first use an eye make-up remover and then massage in a small amount of the Dove beauty bar into my skin to remove the rest of my make-up.

Have you picked up September issue yet with your free Jemma Kidd eyeliner? There are three to collect.
