As part of yesterday’s Bumble and bumble braiding masterclass at Port Eliot Festival, backstage hair stylist Neil Moodie demonstrated to us the Four Strand Braid.

Begin by dividing your hair into four equally proportioned sections. Gather the side sections and weave them under the section closest to them.

Now take the two sections in the middle and cross them over one another. Then repeat the process. It’s a relatively easy one but the resulting fat braid is impressive.

If you want to aid a touch of colour like Moodie has done, use two different coloured hair sprays (the ones Moodie used were created just for Port Eliot by Bumble and bumble), and mist a few of the woven sections.
