The Benefit Cosmetics lot aren't all about beauty you know. The team, plus tons of volunteers, have been running hundreds of miles for the charity Refuge.

Did you know one woman in every four will be abused by her partner, making domestic violence is the biggest single issue impacting on women in this country? In each city everyone has run two miles, and each of those two miles marks the two women a week whose lives are lost because of domestic violence in England and Wales. Shocking, right?

Back on the 14 June the runners set off from Edinburgh down to Newcastle, since then they have passed through Manchester, Birmingham, took a trip to Cardiff, and then to Oxford which is where they are today. Phew! Called the Mascarathon there have been events in each city - free Benefit make uppers (otherwise known as makeovers) with Head Make-up & Trend Artist Lisa Potter-Dixon, mini They're Real mascaras given away and a celeb runner in each city.

Today the team will be running two miles from Debenhams in Oxford, before running the last leg on the 29th June in London where Lauren Laverne will be joining the Mascarathon for the final push. The run is fully subscribed but head to Debenhams in Oxford today from 11am -6pm or pitch up at Spitalfields this Friday between 11am-6pm to take advantage of all the makeovers and freebies on offer. Oh, and if you're not sure where all the activities are happening - just keep your eyes peeled for the huge, pink, Benebago!

If you can't get down to either event you can donate online at mascarathon.co.uk or text 'BENE02 £5' (you can change the amount to any number you would like to pledge) to 70070.
