New hair extensions technology cuts application time

by Suzanne Scott

I’ve always wanted hair worthy of a TV ad – a thick, long and glossy head of hair that garners ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ with every swish. Sadly my hair, though long-ish, is fine and tends to fall without much volume. Extensions have always been a possibility but spending a day in the salon chair for hours and hours whilst having individual strands glued in, just doesn't appeal.

Which brings me to why I was hugely excited when I heard about Great Lengths' latest innovation. The usual four hours application time has been cut down to around two, thanks to the new MULTISONIC system which uses ultrasound technology to apply five bonds at a time, in a matter of mere seconds. There are over 55 shades to choose from and, if you take good care of them, they can last up to five months. And it’s as gentle as possible on the hair because the bonds are PH balanced which means they won't irritate the natural balance of your scalp.

I booked in with the legendary Inanch at her London salon to try them out and in around two hours I walked out with long, thick, gorgeously styled, swish-worthy hair. Rapunzel eat your heart out.
