My morning began with a stop at Kettners in London to meet with the Revlon PR team and nail artist Jenny Longworth. The brand is celebrating its 80th year and to mark the occasion Jenny is designing a series of retro inspired nail designs. 1930's art deco and 40's Hollywood glamour open the series and I was lucky enough to have few minutes with Jenny to get my nails done. I went for the 40's 'Dorian Leigh' (an american model who starred in some of Revlon's most iconic advertising campaigns) in Revlon Red allowing for a nude half-moon and tip. These are just the first in a series of designs inspired by Revlon's heritage – expect to see the next instalment in a couple of months.

Jenny used Revlon red on my nails leaving only a nude half moon and tip peeping through.

From left to right: Timeless, Knockout and Stunning are the key shades to create Jenny's 1930's designs. They look complicated but Jenny insists that you just need a steady hand an a nail art striper.
