We were visited by the wonderfully titled StrangeBeautiful today, a nail polish range set up by Rhode Island School of design graduate Jane Schub. The polishes, which come in deliciously practical transparent containers (perfect for the storage geek in me), are divided into Volumes which have been specially edited and handpicked by Jane. My personal favourite has to be the brilliantly titled 'Inept Laundress' collection, a set of beautifully murky off-whites, creams and greiges all inspired, hilariously, by dodgy laundering - genius. Other favourites include The Dickensian Volume, which as the name suggests was influenced by velvety lumps of coal, shards of rock and of course the great man himself. The Volumes have ten shades in each and come in at £65, pretty good when you consider that's only £6.50 a bottle and you get a ready-made set of ultra-wearable colours. Available at Liberty (where else would you find such a gorgeously niche brand?), we think this one is set to go stellar.
