You know the feeling, it's 4pm and you get an energy slump along with a craving for junk food that's hard to ignore. If you’re not prepared with healthy snacks in your arsenal then a trip to the nearest vending machine or corner shop for a sugary or salty pick-me-up is inevitable.

To trump that slump I've been keeping some apples in my desk drawer - a bit dull I know - so as a treat I've been snacking on these - inSpiral Raw Kale Chips, pieces of dehydrated kale, not fried or baked like most crisps, that are just as moreish (really). They come in a variety of flavours like Cheese Purple Corn, Wasabi and Raw Cacao & Cinnamon.

Curly Kale is packed with chlorophyll (which we've championed here before). Even the natural flavours have health benefits, like the purple corn and cacoa are rich in antioxidants, while wasabi is known to be anti-inflammatory (another health factor we've talked about).

Be prepared and pick up some inSpiral Raw Kale Chips, from £3.45, online here...
