Liberty is now my go-to department store for beauty. It's packed with well known beauty brands, as well as more niche brands like StrangeBeautiful, Sachajuan and Hourglass. Plus, it's got the whole kit and kaboodle as it's not just about the shopping, it offers treatments in various places around the store too.

In the basement Margaret Dabbs has set up a Sole Spa where you can go for one of her renowned medical pedicures. My feet looked brand new in less than an hour and four weeks on they are still looking good; well worth booking in for a pre-summer foot shape-up.

Upstairs Decleor, Dermalogica and Aveda have permanent treatment rooms away from the hustle and bustle; while brands like Eve Lom, Anne Semonin and Omorovicza 'pop-up' in either the Queen Mary or Liberty Room and offer treatments (usually redeemable against purchases). What's great is that once you're firmly ensconced in either room you can't even hear the comings and goings on the shop floor. I sent Sarah Bonser along for an Omorovicza facial, £85 reedemable against products, here's how she got on:

'Winter weather coupled with central heating and lack of sleep has left my skin dull, dehydrated and crying out for moisture. Thanks to unique facial massage techniques that stimulate and encourage circulation, along with the deep cleansing qualities of Omorovicza’s mineral rich products my skin is now plump and glowing. Not only did the Refining & Purifying facial restore my thirsty skin, it was one of the most relaxing hours of my life – so much so that I actually fell asleep. A must.'

The next Omorovicza 'pop-up' will be from the 18-24 March - perfect timing for Mother's Day.
