Using cold pressed oils (carrot, ylang ylang and borage) containing nutrients that are good for your skin bareMinerals has found a way to create solid eyeshadows, blushers, bronzers and Mineral Veils that are in line with the good-for-your-skin ethos of the brand.

Where the original loose foundations harness minerals from rocks and the skincare launched last year takes goodness from minerals found in the soil, these new 'solid' products are packed with sea minerals. I gave them a try and while they are super soft to the touch and glide onto skin with ease, they stay put all day.

The eyeshadow Duos, £19, and Quads, £29, contain nutrient-rich algae and seaweed (in the Sea Nutitive Mineral Complex which is found in all the Ready products), caffeine and cucumber which combine to feed and soothe the skin around your eyes all day (as well as boasting impressive colours and punchy pigments). Ten shades of blusher, £22 each, all contain camelia oil to nourish the skin. The bronzers - The Skinny Dip, The High Dive and The Deep End, £24 each - are pressed with carrot oil to firm the skin. And last but not least, the popular Mineral Veil, £22, has been pressed and boasts UVA/B SPF 15 protection.

And before you ask, foundations are yet to be unveiled. Apparently the team is working to get the quality just right, which means when it does launch (whenever that may be) you know they'll be great.

All the new Ready products come in handy mirrored compacts and launch into Selfridges, bareminerals.co.uk and bareMinerals boutiques from the 1 April. Are you ready to give them a try?
