There was a departure from last seasons Christopher Kane girl this morning. Gone were the wispy up-dos and soft, feminine make-up and in its place was a tougher, grungier girl.

TIGI's Anthony Turner used TIGI Catwalk Root Boost to bring some texture to the hair without adding volume and allowed hair to dry naturally so it picked up a few kinks. "She needs to look youthful and nonchalant", he explained. In order to make hair to appear thin any extra bulkiness was plaited up at the back of the neck and hidden under the hair to take some of the volume out.

And in a welcome addition to the LFW schedule, NARS and Lucia Pieroni worked on a handsome, boy brow which was lengthened and filled in, the result were bushy brows with a definite nod to Brooke Shields. But it was the NARS Multiple in Copacabana which provided the colour across the cheekbones and into the eye area. Apart from a touch of NARS lipstick in cruising, this was a pared back, minimal makeup look.
