Fascinators have always seemed very wedding day and a bit mother of the bride. But the traditional 'special occasion' accessory is getting a makeover thanks to London Fashion Week.

Yesterday we spotted two revamps, one at Bora Aksu (pictured above) where James Pecis adorned models' hair and foreheads with black floral lace, while at Corrie Nielsen (below) sticky plastic was attached to foreheads and hair that was pulled back slick into a netted bun.

Finally at Fyodor Golan (below) hair was plaited where the centre parting once sat. At the forehead in front of where the plait began a small section of hair was split in two and each piece pulled down and tucked behind the ear to create what is not quite fascinator, not quite hairstyle but fascinating nonetheless.
