It was all a bit of a gothic fairytale at PPQ on the first day of London Fashion Week. The PPQ girl that we have become so familiar with these past few seasons was there in the form of a dark statement lip but everything else was took on a gothic take of old Hollywood Glamour.

TIGI's Nick Irwin took more reference from the 50's with his silver screen star waves set into a deep side parting. TIGI Catwalk Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo was used by the bottle to give a matte texture and lots of hold. To bring the style up-to-date and look more worn-in, Irwin roughed the cuticles with the palms of his hands.

The velvets from the collection translated into skin at the hands of FashionistA's Katie Jane Huges who buffed powder into skin with a brush for a smooth finish. The aforementioned red lips were created by blending two matte lipsticks together (pictured) and finally some girls were sent off with a cute little heart on their cheek.FashionistA and PPQ are teaming up again to launch a palette this September.

PPQ always have something going on with a tan - tanning expert James Read used a new brand LDN: SKINS (launching March). Read used the Finishing Cream to give skin a soft, flawless glow which he is calling The Porcelain Tan.
