A touch of 90s minimalism was the order of the day at our first show of NYFW, Peter Som. While Wella expert Eugene Souleiman harked back to an early Helmut Lang vision with a sleek, masculine style, Tom Pecheux for MAC created a ultra matte but fresh canvas on models' faces. After layering Estee Lauder's Idealist underneath a sheer foundation he dusted with a mattifying powder to lend a sophisticated finish. A nude lipstick (Delectable by MAC) added life (and a subtle sheen) to lips and eyelids then he finished the simple look with a touch of violet blusher blended high on the cheekbones for an elegant flush.
