Hair brand Wen was the official hair sponsor for the Miss America contest which took place in Vegas earlier this month. I hadn't heard of Wen before so I was excited to find out more. While beauty pageant hair may be a little to coiffed for my usual beachy look you have to admit they sure know how to get a lot of volume and body in those tresses!

Having looked in to the brand I was excited to give the products a try, because interestingly there is no shampoo in the range, just conditioner. The idea is that you cleanse your hair with the conditioner which is free from drying lauryl-sulfates and detergents.

At first it felt strange massaging a product - the consistency of conditioner - into my roots, but with the addition of a bit of water it started to lather surprisingly well. It's also quicker because I was missing out a step, a huge bonus at 6am in the morning! Once I towel dried my hair, I followed with a spritz of the Volumizing Treatment Spray at the roots and a little Styling Crème on the ends. After brushing through with a Tangle Teezer (my all time favourite tool), I blow-dried my hair as usual and rather than it looking beachy (okay, if I'm honest a bit messy) it looked smooth, with loads of volume.
That day my hair received a few compliments and it felt like I'd been to a salon for a blow-dry, albeit not looking quite as expertly groomed. I haven't given the mask a whirl yet, but if the other products are anything to go by I'm sure I'll be hooked.
