I'm thinking about getting Botox. I'm obsessed (obviously) with skincare and there are some brilliant serums and moisturisers out there that promise to smooth and fill wrinkles. But, working in the beauty industry, I feel I should at least try it... even if it's just once. Apparently I'm not alone, after chatting with a few friends it seems a lot of my peers are interested in the idea, but mulling over whether or not to take the plunge.

But there are definitely some who are firmly in the anti-category. 'Why would you want to do that to your face?' they ask, "Do you want to look startled?" Hmm, that's a good question. The answer, because I want my forehead and eye area to be smooth and line free. And I may still be young at 27, but the old adage 'prevention's better than cure' is echoing in my well trained beauty mind.
I'm contemplating not telling anyone about going for my first injection to see if people will even notice. Though I do have a few well-placed judges like my boyfriend who is firmly against the idea and says that he will do spontaneous 'eyebrow tests' - spot checks on my forehead to ensure I haven't messed with it. Because of course Botox paralyses the muscles by acting on the muscle receptors to block them from receiving nerve impulses which in turn stops the expression lines from deepening.
What do you think... Would you have Botox? And, if you knew your other half or family didn't approve would you still go ahead and hide it from them? Or, are you firmly in the anti-category? Thoughts please...
